SINGING SOLO
The only solo singing I ever did was Hansel in a long-ago “Hansel and Gretel.” My sister was Gretel. Every Christmas Eve the choir has a Carol sing before service. Last Saturday we had a snowstorm. Luckily, someone plowed us out. I had no excuse not to attend church. But I was the only choir member who showed up, which meant I had to sing solo and lead the congregation alone. I wasn’t even nervous! It may be because the more one does something, the easier it gets. What I know for sure is that if there wasn’t a choir to sing in at St. Stephen’s, I never would have had the chance to do this! I am thankful for St. Stephen’s. And it’s choir.
