Tea and Talk About Faith
Thursdays at 1:00 pm gather with tea and talk.
We read and discuss short, spiritual reflections and pray for ourselves and the world as we ask for God’s healing presence.
Tuesdays at the Monastery — First Tuesday of the month during Lent
Cars leave St. Stephen’s by 4:15 pm to join the monks of the Society of St. John the Evangelist for worship and soup supper. Whether you are drawn to incense and the sung mass, the hospitality of the brothers, or the soup and sermon conversations, please join our pilgrimage. Sign up is required.
The Women’s Group is a diverse group of women from many cultures, races and classes who, in collaboration with our sisters from St. Andrew’s Church in Marblehead meets one Sunday a month for a pot-luck lunch and lively conversations. The topics are chosen by the members and have included discussion on faith, politics, current events, poetry, holiday traditions, racism, and God. They usually meet on the second Sunday of the month.
Beloved Community Team
The roots of the Beloved Community Team are embedded in the social justice charge to uproot racism in ourselves, our families, and in the communities we participated in. This charge lead us to great joy as we began to see vestiges of white privilege, white supremacy, and white fragility be engaged bravely and consistently and in so doing dismantled. The BCT is a lay-led group that includes members of St. Stephen’s Church, St. Andrew’s, Church, Marblehead, and members of the community. They also sponsor community workshops and trainings. They usually meet on the third Thursday evening of the month.
