HOW DO YOU DEAL WITH THE DEATH OF ONE OF YOUR CHILDREN?
After my daughter died, the first real memory I have was when Reverend Jane came to my house and I told her there was no God. But as time went by, I knew I was getting my faith back. I found myself lighting candles and praying again. Then one day it came to me. If it was not for God, I would not have had forty years of such wonderful joy with my daughter and her two boys.
I came back to St. Stephen’s knowing this is where I belong. When I walk into St. Stephen’s, I feel peace, love and togetherness. Whatever happens, I know St. Stephen’s has truly helped to save my life. I have found out it is all right to cry, laugh, or scream if that is what you have to do.
I am proud to say I am a member of St. Stephen’s Church. I could never thank the St. Stephen’s family enough for the support they gave me and my family. I know that sometimes in life we also have a cross to carry, just as Jesus did for us. May peace and love be with you.
