Three years ago, mom came to live with us. You see, mom has early onset dementia and was getting lost all the time and could not take care of herself anymore. Anybody who has taken care of a loved one with dementia knows it’s no easy task. Our home has had to be “proofed” to ensure mom’s safety and everybody has had to make adjustments to accommodate mom. It has not been easy. I pray for strength, perseverance and patience every day. I rely on God’s promises that we are never alone.

Psalm 46:10 BE STILL AND KNOW THAT I AM GOD.

Despite all the turbulence around us, we are calm inside because we have put our trust in the almighty God who is in control. God is in control.

Isaiah 43:2 When you go through deep waters, I will be with you.
When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown.
When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you.
