ADVENT BIBLE STUDY GROUPS. Tuesday afternoons at 2:00 at St. Stephen’s Towers and Wednesday evenings at 7:00 at the church, join a Bible Study group that will explore the readings for the coming Sunday.
SPIRITUAL PRACTICE GROUP. Anyone interested in being part of a prayer group during Advent to support a personal practice of daily reflection and prayer is invited to join our Wednesday morning Spiritual Practice group. The group will meet in the Cheater Room every Wednesday morning from 9:30 to 10:30. Most of the time will be spent in silent, corporate prayer. 15-20 minutes each Wednesday will be offered for conversation about our own experience of prayer and our own requests for prayer. We have copies of The Stillness We Seek by the Rev. Cathy George for those who want to be part of the group but any practice of daily prayer is fine. The hope simply is that participants will be spending daily time in prayer.
TEA AND TALK ABOUT FAITH. During Advent, Tea and Talk will read and reflect on meditations taken from Watch for the Light: Daily Readings for Advent and Christmas. Tea and Talk requires no advance preparation or commitment. It just asks a willingness to engage God in the context of community as we talk about a text. Tea and Talk meets every Thursday at 1:00 following the noon healing service.

CHRISTMAS POINSETTIAS GIVE TWICE. Please complete and return the enclosed form inviting the donation of Christmas Poinsettias. The more donations we receive, the more glorious the church will look for Christmas. And, after Christmas, the poinsettias continue to bless us as we distribute them to homebound and hospitalized members of the congregation. If you can help distribute poinsettias to members of the congregation between December 26 and January 5, please let us know. The gift of a poinsettia and a simple Merry Christmas is a wonderful way to share Christmas cheer.
CHRISTMAS COMMUNIONS. If you or someone you know would like to receive Christmas Communion at home, please call the office to let us know. Between December 19 and January 5, the clergy hope to visit all homebound and hospitalized members of the congregation. Please let us know if you would like a visit.
PASTORAL VISITS. As the weather gets colder and roads and sidewalks get icy, many people stay home. If the winter feels long, cold and dark, let St. Stephen’s come to you. If you would like a visit regularly or occasionally, please call the office (781-599-4220) to let us know.
