When I was asked to write down my story on how I walk with Jesus, I had to stop and reflect on how I could possibly put it into words, but here goes.  To me, praying means talking to Jesus throughout the day like I’m having private conversations with him.  Sometimes I wonder if I’m doing enough “formal” praying, but to me, my conversations with Jesus work just fine.  Like all of us, my life has had many really great times, and really difficult times.  When things are going really well, I make sure I say thank you to Jesus.  When I am faced with challenges, sometimes very difficult challenges, I try to deal with them in the best way possible, using all of the skills I have to turn the situation around.  When I am faced with a situation that seems totally impossible and grave, and nothing seems to help, I try to stop, take a deep breath and give it to God.  I have to make a conscious effort to close my eyes and try to just let it go and tell Him that I just don’t know what else to do.  I don’t always ask for an answer, I don’t blame God, I just let it go, which can be difficult.  More times than not something unexpected will happen and an answer will come to me.  So, when someone I know tells me that they are having a very difficult time, my advice to them is to give it to God.
