Serve the Community

My Brother’s Table

“…..and to some He prepared for works of service so that the body of Christ may be built up in the world….”

At my Brother’s Table, we get the unique opportunity to do works of service on the 4th Sundays of each month 1-4 pm in partnership with the First Lutheran Church of Lynn. We help setup, prepare, serve and clean up.

ECCO

The Essex County Community Organization (ECCO) is a congregation-based community organization on the North Shore of Massachusetts. Since 1981, ECCO’s organizing has brought about significant improvements for our communities in job training, health care, youth development, housing, and safety. The vision is that through ECCO, congregations have the opportunity to live out their faith’s call for justice. Through the organizing, the voices of thousands of North Shore residents are heard, and their struggles for justice and equity are successful in bringing about social change.

Kids in Community (KIC)

After School Program — The KIC music program is an after school program offered on Monday and Wednesday afternoons to children in elementary school grades 1-5. Participants play in a percussion ensemble and sing. They also do non-music enrichment activities, such as sports, and received homework help. Plans for additional musical opportunities, such as group piano lessons; and deepening relationships with other area music groups and programs are in the work.
